Hi all,

You're right, this would be great to support Ubuntu 22.04 - we don't plan to support in 2022, however possible in 2023.

People running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and SOGo are forced to stick with 20.04 and can not upgrade to 22.04.
Really hope SOGo team can build packages for 22.04 shortly. :)

Dear @smizrahi,

We have many clients hold back to upgrade Ubuntu to 22.04 due to no official SOGo binary packages, Do we really have to wait for 2023? Can we make it happen sooner?

Hi all,

This is in my todo list. I don't know exactly what is the workload to do this - First quarter 2023 would be realistic.

If you are interested, you can install packages from my repository, in which regularly updated packages of stable versions are provided for the community - there packages for Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy) have been provided for a long time.

Note: activesync support is not missing, but is in a separate package – sogo-activesync – see:

@SlavekB: Is it possible to update deb https://www.axis.cz/linux/debian jammy sogo-v5? There are some big problem with macos ventura (calendar) and SOGo (0005639) making it unusable right now. And thanks for supplying this repro.

Repository is used to provide packages for releases. Therefore, there are no updates on a daily basis. However, yes, when there are essential cases like this, I can try to backport patches to the stable version and update the packages.

I made backport of patches related to bug 0005639 into the latest stable version of SOGo and published updated packages for Debian and Ubuntu in my repository provided for the community. You can try to update.

Hey there, some good news. I have finally reworked a part of the SOGo packaging, and now official Ubuntu Jammy 22.04 packages shall be available.
Could somebody you have a try on latest nightly build packages ?

sudo wget -O- "https://keys.openpgp.org/vks/v1/by-fingerprint/74FFC6D72B925A34B5D356BDF8A27B36A6E2EAE9" | sudo gpg --dearmor | sudo apt-key add -
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https
sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/SOGo.list <<EOF
deb https://packages.sogo.nu/nightly/5/ubuntu/ jammy jammy
EOF
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install sogo

@sebastien I tried but i was unfortunate:
should i install it with sudo apt-get install sog or sudo apt-get install sogo? (with "o" at the end). I tried it with "sogo". It seems that there are some unmet dependencies that are preventing the installation from completing successfully.:
Errors were encountered while processing:

sogo is already the newest version (5.8.0.20230223-1).
You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
sogo : Depends: libsope-appserver4.9 (>= 4.9.r1664.20230223) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libsope-core4.9 (>= 4.9.r1664.20230223) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libsope-gdl1-4.9 (>= 4.9.r1664.20230223) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libsope-ldap4.9 (>= 4.9.r1664.20230223) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libsope-mime4.9 (>= 4.9.r1664.20230223) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libsope-xml4.9 (>= 4.9.r1664.20230223) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: sope4.9-libxmlsaxdriver but it is not going to be installed
Depends: sope4.9-db-connector
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

I tried the apt --fix-broken install but the same error. Would appreciate any advice on how to proceed.

Just tested on a clean virtual machine Ubuntu 22.04 and no issues met.
Maybe all packages was not fully uploaded at this moment ?

Could you uninstall and reinstall ?

Nice !

Now I have reworked so it must be not so hard to backport this to other distrib.
Could you please open a new ticket(s) for those distributions ?
I can't give yet deadline I have tons of tasks to do. I will close this ticket.
