Summary0002728: Initial password prompt doesn't offer a checkbox
Description

After installing the SOGo Integrator+Connector extensions and restarting Thunderbird, the initial password prompt does NOT offer a checkbox option to remember the password.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Install SOGo Connector+Integrator extensions, restart Thunderbird.

  2. The SOGo prompt for password comes up, wth NO checkbox option to remember the password.

  3. Enter the users password and note that SOGo syncs everything (takes a few minutes, depending on the size/number of items in the calendars and contacts).

  4. Restart Thunderbird, note that you get THREE password prompts, only ONE of which has a checkbox option to remember the password.

  5. Click 'Cancel' on the password prompt dialogs that do NOT have the checkbox option to remember the password.

  6. Enter the users password and check the box in the last one that does have the checkbox option, restart Thunderbird a final time.

This results in a stable Thunderbird that won't prompt for the password again.

Additional Information

The very first prompt for the SOGo password should show the checkbox option to remember the password, and iit should save it.

The current way is very confusing to users if they have to do this themselves.

With the code added for 0002739, this bug is no longer relevant. It'll be part of the v24.0.5 extensions.
