You can write emails in plain text.
Settings --> "Mail" --> "General" --> "Compose message in" setting to "Plain text" works.
You can also set that option in sogo.conf as default for all newly created accounts with:
SOGoMailComposeMessageType = "text";
But you always read emails in HTML, if they where send as such. |

This should absolutely be selectable on a per message basis. E.g. there are mailing lists I am on which mess up HTML emails. At the moment each time I want to send a plain text email I need to go into settings, mail, general, change the default. And then reverse that process after to return to HTML compose.
It's not a good UX for what should be / could be a toggle at point of composition to temporarily change the default for the current email. |

Hi,
it must also be possible to give the user the ability of setting a parameter in his his own profile to show only the plain text part of a html mail. If there is no plain text part in a html mail just show the info "there is just html in this mail - do you want to read this content? [y|N]"
This is very important to be shure that you do not open mails with phishing content! |
