Summary | 0005488: Problems pasting text from the clipboard using the mouse
Description | When I try to paste a longer text by "right-click and paste", the text is pasted, but the process does not seem to be finished. Only after the next keystroke the scrollbars are recalculated. If you paste a text with the mouse and scroll immediately afterwards (without pressing any key in between), you may not be able to reach parts of the content below, because the scrollbar is obviously still based on the length of the text before pasting.
Steps To Reproduce |
| ||||
Additional Information | Pasting with CTRL+V does not have these problems, accordingly it occurs only when writing in plaintext (browsers prevent pasting by mouse click when writing as HTML). It doesn't matter if the window is opened inline or as a popup. I could reproduce the error in the demo system. A similar behavior occurs when changing the signature: Also here the signature is only displayed when a key is pressed.

With Firefox 102, I get an error when pasting using the contextual menu: |
|
I can reproduce that in "Plain Text" Mode. |
