Summary0004870: Index of messages
Description

SOGo webgui would work with index of messages the same way like other e-mail clients do.

Steps To Reproduce
  • user has 5 messages in his folder. They were received in order 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. User uses "Order Received, Descending".

  • user opens his folder, message 0000005 is on the top.
SOGo doesn't select any active message, but it would select message 0000005 as active and show its content [pic1].

  • so user need to click on message 0000005, SOGo shows its content [pic2].

  • user deletes this message, SOGo selects following message 0000004 as active and shows its content [pic3]. That's fine.

  • then user select message 0000003, SOGo shows its content [pic4].

  • user deletes this message and SOGo selects message 0000004 as active [pic5]. But it would select message 0000002 as active.

  • user changes display mode and selects message 0000002 [pic6].

  • user deletes this mesage and SOGo doesn't select any active message [pic7]. But it would select message 0000001 as active.

For me that behaviour is correct, as I want to read mails in chronological order.
I would not start with 5, but with 1 and read them up to the newest.

Because of that I do not want it to automatically open the newest email when logging in or opening a folder.

Perhaps there should be an option for reverting preferred reading order.
That would be a feature request, not a bug.

Hi Christian,
ok, I respect your view.
SOGo v2 works as I mentioned and that's the way how I use it ;-)
If you can, please change this issue for feature request, I don't see how I could change it.

Thanks for your work,
Milos
