..or at least I cannot understand the order shown. See attached screenshot; event list for next 14 days list March 15th, then 8th, 4th, 5th, 6th, 14th. Changing sort method modifies only order of events within a day.

For longer timespans (say, "this year" or "all future events"), years and months seem to come in order, just days are shuffled.

SOGo version 4.0.7.20190302-1, just updated; I noticed the problem on version 4.0.4-something, but as I rarely use web interface, I don't know when the problem appeared.

OK -- this is what I have expected, but tested it just to be sure. The problem is the days themselves are shuffled: 15, 8, 4, 5, 6, 14...
