Summary | 0002796: Thunderbird Chat fields not Synced as Vcard 4.0 IMPP fields
Description | Thunderbird Chat fields can be filled out, but are apparently not passed as Vcard 4.0 IMPP fields - they do not arrive in ownCloud Adressbook, which expects/uses that format. IM data can be entered at the ownCloud GUI, and inspecting the DB shows them stored in Vcard 4.0 IMPP fields. But SOGo Connector and ownCloud just aint talking - all that arrives in the ownCloud DB when Chat fields are filled out in Thunderbird is one "X-AIM", stored in the DB but not displayed.
Steps To Reproduce | Fill out all the Chat fields in a Thunderbird address book entry, and save. Inspect the ownCloud-DB tables oc_contacts_cards::carddata and oc_contacts_cards_properties - the only thing that arrives is the X-AIM entry. This is from a dying convention, SOGo should shift to Vcard 4.0 IMPP, which is the official standard now.
Additional Information | X-AIM and such are a dying convention, SOGo should shift to Vcard 4.0 IMPP, which is the official standard now. Or at least offer an option to turn on the use those fields. BTW Options - I reiterate my request to have an Option on how to resolve conflicts: Server wins / Client wins!
