Use the "Sieve" Add-On for Thunderbird.

With this add-on you can modify the sogo sieve script but sogo database is not sync (sogo delete old script every time you attempt to change settings - before upload the new script).

That add-on is good for technical users, but not for regular users. The SOGo web UI for filters is much nicer for them.
