Summary0006238: SOGO Connector - Thunderbird 153esr - Subscribed calendar rename and color change don't persist
Description

Good afternoon,

The current SOGo connector (140) installs on the new ESR version of Thunderbird (153) and mostly works. Sync, subscribe, unsubscribe work for calendars and the custom icons are there.

Unfortunately, when editing a subscribed calendar in Thunderbird to rename it or modify the color, the change does not survive a restart of Thunderbird.

Best regards,

Fabio

Official support for Thunderbird 140.xx ESR recently ended. I know you're working hard on the new SOGo 6, but will there be time to fix this bug so we can switch to the supported TB 153.xx ESR?

Hi,

Here is a print screen of the error that appears in the Thunderbird console when opening the Edit calendar window to change attributes (color, name, etc..).

Thanks,

Fabio

Hi Fabio,
I found this fork (https://github.com/qwasli/sogo-connector/tree/tb153), which solves this problem.

Hi Jirka,

Thank you very much. The commits seem ok. I'll give it a try to see if it can work as a temporary solution but I hope Alinto will either merge these commits or fix the connector when they have the time.

Best regards,

Fabio

Hello,
If the fork works I will reach the maintainer to see if they can make a PR or if I can take its fixes.

Hi Quentin,

I just finished testing a build of the forked connector and I can confirm that it fixes the problems I reported and it doesn't seem to break anything.

Thank you and Jirka,

Fabio
