Summary0000609: Block new contact for Ldap Address Book
Description
  • Select Ldap Address Book (like Users)
  • Right button, New List -> "You cannot create a list in a shared address book."
  • Right button, New Contact -> Box for new contact appears.

You're right, i can't select Ldap Address Book from "Add to:" but user can think that he's inserting in Ldap Address Book

The solution can be replicate "You cannot create a contact in a shared address book."

Yes, the bug is very similar, I don't obtain error but box for "New Contact"

alessio, are you able to test the patch in Bug 0000594?

I think it will fix both of these, since it implements the behavior you suggested in this bug description; it gives a "You cannot create a contact in a shared address book." message when using the "New Card/Contact" button or context menu item.
