Description | The EAS protocol works very unrealiably in conjunction with Microsoft Outlook, every few weeks there are sync problems leading to missing updates on mailbox folders on the clients, so Mailboxes are inconsistent between the clients all the time and huge mailboxes always need to be reset and reloaded, which is very annoying for users and admins, as it takes up to a day or more to resync them.
Therefore, IMAP for Mailboxes would be the preferred way to mount mailboxes whereas for calendars and contacts, one has to resort to the EAS protocol in lack of other alternatives (CalDAV synchronizer for Outlook is even worse compared to EAS).
Mobile devices should be able to sync via EAS, whereas Outlook clients can be split into 2 profiles for the same account, one for EAS with "SOGoEnableMail = NO", and one IMAP for the Mails on order to not have duplicate data in 2 data files.
Therefore it would be helpful that i.e. all outlook clients don't get Mail via EAS, whereas other clients do, so making SOGoEnableMail configurable not only on a user-account, but also on a client-basis.
Would that be possible? |
