I dont know since what version (sogo or browser) this behavior occur.

Normal:
If you draw a email (or response or forward also), the edit area decrased to a single line after typing the first sign (at the same time the attachement area increased altough there is no attachment) and increased after typing a next Line (and so on), so the edit area is big enough to see (and edit) more as a single line at the same time.

In Safari (macos 10.13.6, safari 13.1.1):
The edit area stays decreased so you can see and edit only a single line at a time.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Click the pencil button to write a new mail (same or separate window).

  2. Typing in the edit area and see decreasing the edit area and increasing attachment area.

  3. Typing the next lines (line break) and see the edit area stays decreased.
