Summary | 0004151: Calendar littered with "(public event)"
Description | Some events (I believe these were created in Thunderbird, but I am not sure) litter the calendar module of SOGo with "(public event)" events, see the attached screenshot. The weird thing is that in thunderbird these duplicated events do not show up, but in some other mobile dav clients it does.
Additional Information | Source of such an event: BEGIN:VCALENDAR
Tags | No tags attached. | ||||

Are these events coming from a subscribed calendar? |
|
You mean an external calendar? Then no, this is a SOGo calendar (but from a different user, though he sees the same) |

It turned out to be a layer 8 problem. The (default?) setting for shared calenders on our instance is that all calenders are shared with all authenticated users but only date and time so naturally those event showed as "(Public event)" only. When changing the permissions to "View all" it worked out. This is definitely not a bug but maybe the wording could be improved to make it less confusing. Something like explicitly calling the permission setting "View Date & Time but hide Details" to make that implication more obvious. |
