Summary0003996: SOGo connector does not sync second (of 2) Thunderbird remote addressbooks from same owncloud user
Description

Thunderbird 45.6.0 on OpenSuse 42.2 (full desktop, client)
OwnCloud 9.1.3 (stable) on OpenSuse 42.2 (vserver)

For authorization (sharing) reasons I have two owncloud addressbooks, owned by the same owncloud user.

URLs for SOGo connector within Thunderbird are:

https://owncloud.domain.tld/remote.php/dav/addressbooks/users/user@domain.tld/<name_of_addressbook>/

Initial sync from owncloud to thunderbird works fine !

But as soon as any values changed for a contact in the second (sort order of addressbook's name) addressbook, NO changes of any contacts are synched back to owncloud. And no "SOGO: ...." information messages are shown anymore.

It seems, that scheduled syncs for the second addressbooks are stopped.

manual syncs as said can't sync from thunderbird to owncloud, but (tested) from owncloud to Thunderbird. FYI "readonly" is NOT set for any addressbook in thunderbird

Steps To Reproduce
  • create two "remote addressbooks" in Thunderbird, remote side is OwnCloud. Both addressbooks owned by same owncloud user.
  • perform initial sync, to get the existing owncloud contacts of both addressbooks downloaded into thunderbird
  • make changes to at least one contact for each addressbook
  • perform a manual sync

result: second (based on sort order of "name") addressbook is NOT synced from thunderbird to owncloud (anymore)

"It seems, that scheduled syncs for the second addressbooks are stopped." is WRONG, my mistake.

Scheduled sync still happens.

But changes made locally in Thunderbird are overwritten. SOGo connector's sync messages informs about this, but no question before like "Do you (really) want to overwrite..."

As of Thunderbird 52.3.0 and SOGo Connector 31.0.4, this issue has been resolved.

No idea how to do myself: This issue COULD BE CLOSED .-)
