Summary0002289: Convert typed link to URL
Description

In the webmail composer (using HTML version), typing a link leaves it as text and it is received by SOGo and Thunderbird as text rather than a URL.

It would be useful if http[s]://... were autoconverted to URLs. Same goes for emails.

Additional Information

We've evaluated this in both clients and here are the results:

Convert to link on typing:

  • SOGo: no
  • TB: no

Ability to convert text to link manually.

  • SOGo: yes
  • TB : yes

Send / display received typed url/email as link:

  • SOGo: no **
  • TB: yes

Send converted text to link as link:

  • SOGo: yes
  • TB: yes
