Summary | 0002016: Ubuntu 12.04 Package not depending on memcached
Description | A very small suggestion that probably applies to all debian/ubuntu packages: It appears that the package (correctly) depends on libmemcached, but neither requires nor suggests memcached. Sogo will run without memcached, but you will get a lot of error messages and decreased performance if memcached is not installed and running. I suggest adding at least a "recommends" relationship to memcached to the sogo debian/ubuntu packages. (As per debian policy manual, "The Recommends field should list packages that would be found together with this one in all but unusual installations.").

Fixed: https://github.com/inverse-inc/sogo/commit/cd0244883d6e15759f2852b4aec7f0b5c250ce52 The dependency wasn't listed since an admin might run memcached on a different host than the sogo hosts. |
