Summary0000108: Webmail not showing email headers when there are mail with attachements. Imap backend is in DBMAIL
Description

Im am using dbmail (http://www.dbmail.org/) as imap backend. When I sent an email to my test account that contains attachments, I keep seeing the mail headers of the previous folder. There is no way I can get to see the headers of the wanted folder.

In the sogo logfile I see suspicious error messages:

Aug 18 23:05:21 sogod [9015]: <0x0x87b0df0[NGImap4Client]> ERROR(-[NGImap4Client _processCommandParserException:]): catched IMAP4 parser exception NGImap4ParserException: unexpected char <(> expected < >

I attached the relevant lines from the log.

Ronald

Please install the debugging packages, including the ones for GNUstep.

Use only one sogod process, attach to it and set a breakpoint on "raise" from NSException.

Send us the stacktrace when it crashes in the mail module.

Downgrading to minor as no feedback was provided in many weeks.

I am not using dbmail any more. For the reason: no one response on bugs here in a reasonable time.

Make sure that your problem is not caused by broken message structure parsing in DBMail. Some IMAP servers can produce funky results in IMAP BODYSTRUCTURE responses. stable dbmail versions have known issues with some message headers. It is possible that your DBMail version is broken.

Closed the issue as no feedback was provided for months on this. It was probably due to a broken version of DBMAIL.
