Summary | 0001043: SOGo Ubuntu package does not advise schema update
Description | Server admins expect routine updates within a release to only provide security fixes, however the SOGo repository upgrades to newer versions. This is not a problem in and of itself. However, the upgrade from 1.3.3 to 1.3.4 required a database schema upgrade which was not applied by the package automatically — generally a good thing — nor was any alert made in the NEWS file or via debconf that additional admin steps where required. It would be good to get at least a debconf message out of the package. Also, are updated versions tested against older schemas to prove that no destructive results will occur if this happens on production systems?
