Description

I use SOGo Connector 31.0.3 in Thunderbird 38.5.0 to sync my contacts with OwnCloud 9.1.3. The connector was working since a long time with older versions too without any problems.
Now I get a password request from SOGo Connector (or perhaps SOGo Integrator always when I start Thunderbird or when I try to type a mail address. I'm absolutely shure that I type the right password. The dialog will reappear until I press "Cancel". The foreground window changes from mail creation to inbox during the dialog.
The password is saved in Thunderbird.
I see that the contacts are syncronised, I can create a contact in the owncloud web interface and see the contact after next sync, I can delete the cantact in Thunderbird and the contact is deleted in WEB interface after sync.
It is nearly impossible to write a mail because always when I enter an address the window goes in background.

Steps To Reproduce

Install Thunderbird 38.5.0, SOGo Connector and Integrator 31.0.3 and connect to OwnCloud 9.1.3 with https. You will see the problem on start of Thunderbird and always when you type in a mail address.

I can confirm the same issue which occured yesterday (2016-12-18) the first time. I've experienced the problem on two different systems. Both use Thunderbird 45.5.1 and SOGo Connector and Integrator 31.0.3. One system runs on Windows 7 Pro, the other on Windows 10 Pro.

My two systems don't use the same accounts. One similarity is that both systems have two email accounts running in Thunderbird. In both cases the "endless loop" asks for the password of the account which normally does not have anything to do whith the sync of my contacts.

Contacts still sync, though. While trying to insert an email adress in a new email the password dialog always interrupts. Thunderbird does not auto-complete email adresses anymore.

same here!!

Thunderbird 45.5.1 with latest 31.0.3 connector and latest 3.2.4 sogo on the server... just appeared from 19.12. on after last sogo nightly update on server...

Confirmation for Thuderbird Versions (40.0b1, 43.0b1, 44.0b1 and > 45) on Win 10 Systems with connector version > 31.0.2

You toyed with the wrong SOGo Integrator in the past.
